55 dozen - count 'em

My sister, Libby, is a Children's Education minister and she wanted to give her Bible class teachers cookies as an appreciation gift. I suggested five cutters and then I asked her just how many teachers are we talking about. She said . . . . . .

130 teachers!!!!!
Okay, do the math . . . 5 x 130 = 650 cookies . . . give or take a dozen!

So that meant 11 dozen for each of the 5 cutters: boy, girl, book, heart-shape, and cross.

My friend, Denise, and I got the cookies baked. Then Libby, her daughter Gina, and Gina's friend Tim came on a Friday night and we got them all decorated by 5:30 am and then took a nap. We had the cookies bagged, tied, and in a sack by 2:30 pm.

I loved seeing the cookies all layed out on the tables. We pretty much did an assembly line for each design.

The book cutter made the Bible cookies. We added a red ribbon.

Here's what 55 dozen cookies look like in 15 paper sacks! The cookies made a special gift and the teachers were delighted to see them. This little cookie business has blessed lots of people and that's been my prayer all along.

Friends, Icing and Fun

This is my oldest and only married daughter, Andrea. She was home for a family wedding and helped my decorate some cookies for a baby shower. She googled images of baby bibs and then created some really cute designs. I love watching my children get involved with what I am doing . . . they always teach me something new.

This is my daughter, Julie. She has been my best cheerleader from the very beginning of this cookie obsession. When she is home from ACU, she is a willing helper with any orders that I need to get finished. Some of the prettiest cookies have been her design.

This is yet another friend that has been sucked up into this cookie vortex! Denise is one of my dearest, most creative friends and has been an invaluable behind-the-scenes helper with this cookie business.

I found some stackable cutters at Michael's and my friends, Mary Alice and Russell, made and decorated these CUTE cookies. Needless to say, the cookies were gobbled up pretty quick!

This is my friend, Corianne, helping me finish some big orders for Valentines. She has decorated cookies for her friends and has experienced the "addiction" that comes with icing pretty cookies.

Special Occasions

These cookies were for a travel theme graduation party.

My son Barry, has a special young lady in his life, Jill. She gave me this cutter and I have used it to make some cute cookies for my tea drinking friends. I also have a tea cup and saucer cutter that goes great with this cookie.

This was a get well cookie for a little friend. Julie used a plate to cut out the cookie.

These cookies were made for an Amarillo Little Theatre production.

One of my first batch of cookies for my Bunco Babes.

I have several friends that are artists and I love making them cookies. This particular cutter was used as a torch cookie for the Olympics theme at a computer enhancement camp this summer. Thank you, Dee Ann, for the flour and sugar!!!
